Default Face kift and pre facelift SRi alloys?

    Hi all,

I have noticed that the pre facelift SRi alloys have a wider and lower profile than the facelift 17" SRi alloys ?

Is there any particular reason why and what would happen to speedo etc if the later type were put on a pre facelift SRi ?

    Thanks .... Jon

I assume you mean the 225-45 compared to 215-50 thing? 225-45 are cheaper by lots, more choices of tyres, and there's only a marginal difference in speedo readings. Chances are most pre-facelift owners have had all their tyres replaced by now.

Can you put the 225's on the 215 wheel? I think I heard somewhere that you could.

Yea, most of us change to 225/45's. The speedy will read something like 2 mph over your actual speed at 60mph.

Probably yes unless it's someone in the know. Simply change to 225 when low obviously on the same axel.
