    Default Immobilisor Help

Vectra c 2002 2.2 z22se i have started to get the immobilisor locked paddock showing on the dash first thing in the morning i have to turn the key on and off many times before the immobilisor will see the transpoder and unlock. Once started i seem to have no repeat of the problem for the rest of the day.

I have the same problem with the spare key.

    Any help most welcome

    thanks Martin

It sounds like it could be a faulty transponder reader. I've repaired 2 in the past one was damaged in an accident and the other was a dry solder joint on the loop aerial connection to the circuit board.

Thanks for the reply. I assume the reader is by the ignition switch how can i remove it to check it, i've had the cowls off locking for a ring around the barrel like on my old vectra b but couldn't see anything.

Got car back from the stealers, said one of the keys was sending the ecu out and i would need to replace the key , found this hard to believe as when my car wouldnt start it didn't start with any of my keys.
Next morning just the same problem, car back to dealers on Friday they said it must be the column module replaced it on saturday unable to finish programing it by close of buisness, I played up and under sufferance got a loan car. Today Monday they still haven't finished programing it HOW long should it take i was original quoted .7 hr what are they up too, can't begin to think how much they think they will try to charge me!!!!!!!!!
