225/45/17's : What tyre pressure to run at?

Just hammered my wallet for 4 new tyres.

I went from standard 215's up to 225/45/17's.

For those who have made this very common switch to the new size/profile, what pressures do you recommend I run them at?.

The tyre pressures are listed in the manual for 225's - with mine (1.8) the pressures were the same as the 215's, I don't know about the 3.0 diesel.

I asked the same Q a couple of weeks ago and got mixed answer's. Average came out at 35 psi.

for 3.0V6 the book says

front - 39psi (41 for full load)
Rear - 35psi (48 for full load)

With these presure's the ride is rock hard.

You're likely running XL tyres, so the ride will be rock hard anyway. Pressure should be the same as the 215s.
