Are you sure it's no more, than condensation, as the ambient temperature has dropped quite a bit over the last week or so; warmth from exhaust into cold atmosphere hence white smoke.

theres a big difference between condensation and smoke

One is nothing to worry about, the other is

Condensation is the stuff you get out a kettle, its very fine and wispy. Doesnt tend to smell or taste of anything either if you walk into it. Thats because its water

Smoke on the other hand, usually means something is burning. If comming out of the exhaust usually oil. You can tell the difference as this is much quicker and hangs low and generally smells horrible.

If its condensation (the same as you get comming out of a kettle) then its nothing to worry about and completely normal.

it is quite whisppy but there is loads of it and it has a very slight smell to it, a bit petroly if that makes any sense. my mechanic mate said its just condensation but i no my car and it does look differant. he said change the plugs and air filter if im worried see if that helps.

It will smell like petrol as it's straight out of the cylinders.

If it hangs in the air and builds up it's something to worry about, but if it's coming straight out the exhaust and quickly dispersing it's just condensation with the cold weather.

    dont bother mate

    its just condensation.

Every car does it during winter. And the petrol smell is the unburnt petrol you can smell. This is one of the reasons the vec engines idle higher when cold, as colder engines are most inefficient and dont burn the petrol. Thats why you can smell unburnt petrol in the exhaust fumes.
