Default Please help, advice needed on inSP

My car is a 2006 1.8VVT, and has done 29450 miles, and the inSP has just come up on the dash board?
I bought the car second hand from a non vx garage, and it had a service at 22500 ( only oil & brake pads ) when I bought it. I gave it a new oil/filter/air filter six months ago with proper grade of oil & all vx parts.
    Is the warranty still valid?
Does this sound like the 2 year service indicator?
Do I need to take it in and pay a bundle, or just reset it? ( IF THE WARANTY IS INVALID)

    Vehicle : Vectra

Yep, you simply need to reset the INSP indicator. Next service not due so no warranty implications.

    Try this:-

Searching and/or reading the manual would have told you this too.

If you have a stamp in your book, I would think so. As long as any parts replaced/used were original or at least to VX spec. Perhaps someone else on here can advise you for certain. Recent changes to law state that a car does not have to be serviced at a manufacturer's dealer/agent for the warranty to remain in force.

    ????????
there is no first service stamp in my service manual, all I had was a receipt from the non vx garage I bought it from, and they used the wrong oil! (10/40 ), so I doubt they reset the service intervals?

Hmm...could be a sticky one then. I'd get it to a Masterfit and get an oil and filter change. £60 will keep you right hopefully. 22.5k isn't too much to worry about.

    Think my warranty is invalid?
If it is then I can just reset the counter, and carry on....

No, I think you'll be fine. You need to be really unlucky for the warranty to be totally voided.

Anecdote - my housemate's 206 lay down at 18 months old with 36k on the clock. He never had it serviced from new. They serviced it and fixed the burnt out coil no problems. And that's Peugoet.
