    Default rolling road results....

had a great day at northampton motorsport today!!

went up to try out some performance boxes for the 3.0 v6. There was a rolling road day at the above mentioned venue with a load of astras and corsas turning up, along with a handful of astra vxr's - sexy cars they are!

Andrew was most kind in allowing me to try out loads of different profiles in order to find one that suited the performance i wanted out of the car. Test run after test run i finally decided on one and was very happy with it, Andrew had already said that this particular profile had been rolling roaded and shown 339 lbs of torque and something like 196 bhp. So i was very happy with this, the car felt lighter and and so much more responsive, truly changed the car in a very dramatic way!

anyway...the rolling road day is coming to an end and we were asked if anyone else wanted to have a run, i decided to go for one as i was interested exactly what my car would be putting out, we already knew what it SHOULD have.

and needless to say i was grinning from ear to ear when the following results were announced...202 bhp and 349 lb ft

i'd just like to say a HUUUUGE thank you to Andrew!!! a very nice chap indeed!

i had a great drive home needless to say!! i've spent ages in the car today driving round to see family and my oh my was i happy!

    cheers again Andrew.

That'll be your best purchase for a car ever then buddy. The problem you'll have now is, you will always want to use that power; it's bl00dy addictive. Start saving for your next set of tyres now.

Awesome figures mate, especially that torque.

is it weird that the car now LOOKS different to me!!?!?!?

good results that. i am looking at a new one and thought about a diesel with a 200bhp remap but if i do it will have to be a 2.0 turbo as it will handle more power. tough choice but for me and my needs i think the remaps will be a better long term option and if i did get a 1.9 i like the idea of the sports button for bringing the powre in like vauxhall and thurby motors have done on the astra888

    Just more factory for me.
