I know this is of little help to you mate, but the scratch looks nice and clean, and with it being black it is an ideal colour for a "smart repair"

Get Chips away, or someone similar on it and you should be able to avoid a full panel being sprayed.

gutting when it happens...wish I cought the little ba5tard5 when they did my old vec b..as jamie says, looks reosonably clean scratch, and hopefully not down to bare metal...got mine sorted for £80 cash at a spray shop, mine was bout the same size on the bonnet and approx 4 ins on wing as they went right round the front and side!
