    Default Lower steering shroud

    Hello all.

Any tips on removing the lower steering shroud just behind the steering wheel, before I break any hidden clips.

    Cheers

Someone must have had this cover off. I've taken out the two screws behind the steering wheel and the one underneath just behind the colum adjuster but it still won't budge.

I did it when i changed my dash i take it you have removed the top shroud ?
you have the 2 screws either side of steering wheel and the 2 screws on the switch assembly on top (once top shroud is removed you will see these)
Then you remove the circular trim panel from around the ignition switch
then undo the two screws on the steering height adjuster handle then when you remove that handle you will find another screw there
    that should be it hth

    Unhappy

Thanks Bigmac thats great, but how do you remove the top shroud?
BTW changing the bottom shroud due to it being incompatable with tree air freshner (strips of grey coating). Does not look good on a 6 month old car.

I had the same problem, stain on the lower steering shroud

The dealers changed mine for me £37 all in

It was classed as trim so wouldn't change it under warranty
