    Default New tyres!

Been shopping round for some new tyres, went to my local tyre place this morning still unsure what to get. The guy recommended Falkens so now have a new set of ZE912's - been for a run and they seem very good so far - £163 fitted including laser 4-wheel alignment.

    Dead chuffed

Supposed to be good tyres, same quality as the 452 but more emphasis on comfort rather than performance. Good price, too!

Maybe a daft question, but are these cheap tyres really as good as you guys make out, I recently paid £105 each. ie. £420 for 4 Bridgestone ER300 tyres, and that was because I paid and booked them online, normal prices were around 120+ at most dealers.
I'm always interested in saving a few quid, but AIS are these Falken tyres okay, I've always suspected you get what you pay for.

I am getting 4 of the Falken 912s fitted next week. £240 fitted and balanced. Seem to get really good write ups especially when you consider the price

I had a focus and bought some 17" alloys and tyres as a package. They came with Falkens on and they were s%$t in the wet!! However, moving on...I am hoping that they have come a long way since then and I have read nothing but positives about them. (Please someone don't post a negative comment coz I am already stuck in the house on a saturday, nobody to look after the kids, she's watching x factor and I'm stuck in me cupboard under the stairs!!!! )

I think they've had the same progress as Nankangs - the original NS-1 was very appropriately nicknamed the 'ditchfinder' but the NS-2 was light years better. I've never heard anything but good reviews of the Falkens.

    Default Falken Tyres

Looking at WHICH, the Falken Ziex ZW 512 (205/55R16V) is in the
DO NOT BUY list. This is due to extremely bad braking/handling in the Wet. Incidentally, there are NO Falken tyres on the best-buy list. I always get Pirrelli P7's as these are not expensive, last for ages and provide fantastic grip in all weather conditions. If you are booting it, the only thing between the car and the road is the tyre... best be safe...
