Default 1.8 16v Vectra C... a few things I would like to find out!

Hi all. Just joined the forum so hope I'm posting in the right place...

I've got a 1.8 16v Vectra C SRi that I'm in the process of modifying slightly... I've got an Irmscher grill fitted (as you can see in my avatar photo) and am currently waiting delivery on a K&N 57i induction kit.

What I want to know is... are there any chips of any kind available for the 1.8l version? And secondly... I have the single-exit oval exhaust as standard on the SRi, but I want a double-exhaust of some sort (one backbox on each side of the car). Is there anywhere I can get an exhaust like this, other than a Vauxhall dealership? Any makes known?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

    Jamie

    57i? Hmm...can you get a refund?

I'm assuming it's the 123hp 1.8 and not the VVT? You can do a lot to those engines, depending on how much you want to spend. If you're really flush there's the dblias turbo kit, there's snazzy cams, decat manafolds, etc, etc.

If you can find a copy of last month's Total Vauxhall (Autumn 2008 issue) there's a whole section devoted to tuning the new engines.

    Few quick prices:

Dblias Flowtec inlet manafold (20hp), £986 fitted
Dblias Turbo conversion (40% performance increase), £3950 fitted
    4-1 Lexmaul exhaust manafold £698
    Piper cams £460

Not cheap, but I guess it depends on how much you want to spend.

Courtenay also has a full range of tuning for the Z18XE.

Looking at those prices...think I'd rather sell up and buy a 2.0T and stick a BSR on it for £500. This will get you about 220bhp
