    Default ooops! Broke it!

is it suposed to loo like this?

    http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...1982/0_0-2.jpg

    I think not.

So now seeing this and knowing i have recently drilled out old glow plugs

I know what done this! A pice of glow plug end that i never found.

What symtoms will this have on the car running?
I ask because it has a lot of white smoke and knocky. Will it make the engine missfire?

I want to know so i can try decide weather i get a new engine or new turbo?

    Thanks guys and girls

    O dear. O dear.

You should just be able to replace the fin's.
I'd get it checked at the same time to see if any more damage had occurred.

I don't think you can just change the turbine wheel. Turbo's are precision items that need extremely high levels of balance.

Maybe you have scored the bore, valve seat, valve damage etc. A head off inspection would be recommended before you decide what to do.

think you are a bit like me mate - diy job gone wrong.....

my recent spark plug change should have cost me 25 quid...... i ended up paying 400 as i cracked one plug, bought a new coil pack thinking it was that then had it taken to a garage and fixed.

hope you get it sorted soon mate
