You wouldn't be insured if they found out. You could crash and they would not pay out. technically I guess you would be breaking the law.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Why don't you do like I did mate and go on to 'Gocompare.com' and see what other quotes you can get including the mods. I told NatWest this week who I insured with that I was having tints done and they wanted to put my insurance up by £80 so I told them to get stuffed. My insurance was £380 without the tints. I have just paid £331 with admiral with better cover and that includes tints, bigger alloys and a rear spoiler.

It wont hurt to try. Best of luck.

all my mod's are declared and my premium is less then £500.00 fully comp 2 driver's and business cover, worth paying the premium to make sure that the car goes back to how you have styled it imho

Jesus is that how much points can change your premium? I pay £380, fully comp with business, 2 drivers (both me and the missus are only 23). No points, 5 yrs NCB for me, 0 NCB for her.
Shop around dude, 'More Than' insure us for my Veccy and her Mini Cooper, she has tints, all declared but no increase in premium.

I'm surprised that tints affect insurance, I can understand some mods making a difference... but not tints. Live n Learn.

After reading some of the posts on insurance costs I dont feel quite so annoyed at mine for raising my premuim from £156.80 last year to £242 this year, that was a big increase, no claims and the cars half its value, shall have to shop around next time if they try and bump it up again.
I feel a bit like that guy in the NationWide Add, They caught me with the juicy low rate and hiked it now I'm in the keep net.

Certainly worth keeping to the limits and avoid those points. I didn't think they made that much difference either.
