Intercooler Pipe, HELP!

My pipe has split and it's gonna cost £105 + vat from the stealers, even though i only need the rubber pipe i have to get whole kit, does anyone know if you can get an aftermarket one and if so if its any cheaper. I have a 03' vectra 2.0dti.

I hear it's a common problem which is why the stealers make you buy the whole kit these days.................

Nope, they arent availabel seperately, loads of people on here have had to buy the whole lot including metal piping. GG was looking into getting hoses fabbed by someone like samco but due to poor/lack of response of their part it was a no go.

Sorry for the side track m8..but what were the symptems which lead you to the intercooler pipe failure.

basically when i got to around 1800 the turbo didn't kick in, you could hear the air escaping quite loudly, it sounded exactly like i was putting my blowers on inside the car. Phoned my local VX independant and he told me straight away what pipe it was without him even looking at it, and said it was quite a common problem............
