Default No more Vauxhalls for me

Just returned from 3 weeks holiday to find the company has changed its company car policy, having had vauxhalls for the last 20 years it's a bit of a shock. I now have to have an estate car with less than 160g co2 emissions. Choice I now have are the VW Touran, Passat, Skoda Octavia, Toyota Avensis or Seat Altea, most are 105bhp 1.9 diesels, although the Skoda vrs 2.0d is 170bhp. Not impressed was rather looking forward to the new Insignia when the car gets replaced in May next year

Cheer up, according to the green car guide:
"The new Vauxhall Insignia ecoFLEX model has a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that produces 160PS, yet it has emissions of under 140 g/km CO2."

I'm sure the estate/tourer will be just as good

edit / is it no Vx's or just or just no Vx saloons?

It's sad to see no VX on the list anymore but go for the Octy vRS it it's one of the options. They're really nice cars and the engine's a good 'un, just try and spec the sat nav and maxi dot display. If I were to change the Veccy then it would be for a vRS PD.

At the end of the day it's a free car, I'll probably go for the Skoda although the stigma of the 80's will take some getting used to

Agreed, the Octavia is the best car out of that list, they're solid, and even in the 140PS 2.0TDI form they can shift along.

Must disagree, it is not a free car, the tax man has you over good style.

If your job involves any kind of mileage, opt out and run your own

That is what I do, and I am definitely up on the deal

Just traded in an Octavia vrs, had it 3 years, it was a petrol one but never missed a beat, dealers around me where good as well.
will miss it although a 2.8 T signum will help me forget!
