Default Useless dealers damaged my alloy

.... and tried to deny it.

do they need to remove the front wheels te replace the egr valve and the swirl actuator rod. it was only by chance i caught the mech putting the locking wheel nut back in the boot, that i new they removed the wheels.
By chance i checked the wheels over after they delivered my car back to me and found a gouge out of one (about 4" long), clearly caused by the air gun to remove the nuts i did'nt know how fast to get back down there. They tried to say that the wheel was damaged when it arrived and had it circled on the appraisel sheet. That was when i kicked off and accused them of damaging the wheel then adjusting the sheet afterwards. they did'nt do the inspection in my prescence and i was not given a copy of it. The service manager said he was gonna speak to the lad who worked on the car then ring me on monday. After about an hour he rang me back to say they were goint to get it refurbed for me. So i guess the mech must have held his hands up and admitted it

I'd have been back and belted the Mech on the head with his windy gun.
Hope they do a decent refurb on it.

normally they send it off for a refurb, like they did mine, it wasnt up to the standard i expected so i rejected it when done, the dealer was fine with rejecting it but the refurber wasnt too happy, the dealer said the customer isnt happy so do it again!.. hope yours is done right first time for you.

Can anyone say if it's normal to remove the front wheels to do this repair.

I can't see why, but maybe it gives better access? But even then it would only be one I would have thought. Do you think they were looking at something else?

I've had a quick look into it, Neither operation states to remove the road wheel at any point.

Bit puzzled on the swirl actuator rod though as this isnt a seperately available item? if they were just refitting it, then it will fall off again.

Damaged wheel was on the passenger side but they'd had them both removed

I dropped it for them today and told them it had better be a good refurb or i would'nt be accepting it.

    Here's hoping.
