Default Just got a dyson DC16

I have just purchase a Dyson DC16 hand held vacuum cleaner of ebay for £64.99 FROM HERE. to make my weekly routine a bit easier. I'm currently doing the following:

    week 1: Takes 2 -3 hrs

    snow foam car
    wash 2 bucket method
    clean wheel's (on the car)
    clean interior windows
    Vac the carpets

    week 2: Takes all day

    Snow foam car
    wash 2 bucket method
    rinse
    clean wheel's (off the car)
    polish
    wax
    clean leather
    vac the carpets
    clean interior windows
clean all plastics in the car

Then go back to week 1

is this too much / not enough

Car is not get that good a shine so thinking of getting a machine polisher.

I could do with some advice on what polish to use currently using Meg's teck wax and meg's polish

I have got to say my old car was lucky if it got washed once a month and it only got vac out when I sold it.

I think I have been well and truly corrupted by this site I think it needs to come with a health warning when you first start.

drop the polish bit as you wont have any paint to polish at that rate!... only need to polish 2-3 times a year at max... just keep regular top ups of wax..

    Way over the top.

So you plan to take the wheels off every 2nd weeks...Poorboys wheel sealant 2 coats and a long wheel brush and you won't have to do it for again ages.
Clean the leather every 2 weeks, every quarter is about right and a feed.
As said above drop the polish and do it twice a year. I haven't polished my car since April when I applied colly 915, it still beaded this morning.
What I would add would be Megs quick detailer after the dry or to aid drying.
I would clean the windows every 2 weeks too and probably the carpets too.

I always clean the the wheels first (when on the car). Less chance of spraying muck and debris around then on the clean paintwork. I do this before snowfoaming.
