    Default GID to CID

    Hello,

First of all. I tried to search everywhere but couldn't find the answer i'm looking for (they were all mentioning the change when there's allready a radio in the car).
I'm from Holland and my car is a Vectra 1.8 with BC, Check Control and GID. There's no radio built into the car. I reacently bought a CID to exchange with the GID. Then later on i will buy a NCDC2013/2015. But for now i only have the CID. Is it possible to change the GID for the CID by Tech2 without extra work?
So in short. Go to the Dealer. Tech2 the GID out of the car then Tech2 the CID into the car (all this without extra work).
    Thanks

    As I understand -

As long as the CID was un-paired from the previous radio or is in delivery mode and the NCDC 2013 you'll be getting has been tech'd from the donor car and screen, then they should work fine when they are tech2'd to your car. HTH

    Thanks for the quick response
But first i need to have them both? I cannot fit the CID first, and for example, one week later add the radio?
I know they need to be unmarried from the old car before fitting in mine. I'm sure the CID is unmarried.

You could fit the CID 1st, you'd be able to use it but you will not have all the features available, radio station info etc, not sure about trip computer either. What radio is fitted at the moment??

There's no opel radio in it (just a small CD player from JVC).

This is what i allready have bought:
    Radio Frame 13162744
NCDC2015 93173580 (unmarried and incl the security code) Will be in next week.
    CID 13156065 YD
    VGA Cable 13185491
Radio control for steering wheel 93178159
Now i only need the Antenna (for the GTS) with Telephone/Radio/GPS
And the extra GPS cable that goes to the radio

Just found out that the RGB cable that i ordered isn't needed. This cable is used with radios starting with CDXX.
    Bummer
Looks like i need the cable attached to the main loom from the dashboard to the radio. Allready looked in my car but it isn't there. Hopefully i can get a hand on this cable.
It's the litle cable left under the CID as you can see on this picture.

And because it's attached to the dashboard loom, you cannot order it apart at Opel. Unless you order the whole loom for the dashboard .

Well,.. it didn't work. It was looking for a radio (but the radio wasn;t there). I'll wait till the radio is build in and try again.
