Yes every penny of the £400 mine had £5200 worth of parts not including labour within a month of the warranty running out including a new auto gearbox and the dreaded swirl valves and DAB radio warranties direct do a direct debit monthy version for about £36 with main dealer cover.

Statistically, no way is any warranty worth it. But that is playing the numbers game. Some people won't win, but most people will win by not taking out a warranty.

    Thumbs up

Its all a matter of risk. Taking out the warranty will not reduce the probability of the car getting a warranty covered fault - but it will reduce the impact (£) on your pocket.
Ask yourself this - have you had many problems with the car? Do you think you have problems with it?
    Weigh up the risks
Is it 400 quid a year?
I have a signum 55 plate and warranty expires end of this month - the network q expires Feb next year - and I have no intent of taking out extended warranty.
Probability of fault is greatly reduced by service schedule being adhered to.
Loads of other things to take into account - end of day you have to either give vx 400 quid or keep it to one side to add to the repair of a low probability fault happening to you.
    Good luck

Mine has 40000 miles on it and a full dealer service history and I have had it 2 years of the 3 it has been on the road it has been carefully looked after but I am glad to pay £400 it has saved me over £5000.
