    Default Network Q Timing Belt

Have had my 54 1.8 sri a couple of months now any its going great. Was planning on having the timing belt and water pump changed in the next couple of weeks as its done 66k with no record of a belt change, but cant get a straight answer if a timing belt faliure would be covered under network q warranty. All they will say is the aux belt is not covered, wondered if anyone had made a claim on a timing belt, cheers.

    Aren't those belts 80k/8 years?

I'd have it changed to be safe, I've found NetworkQ are good at wriggling out of repairs.

here is what is not covered http://networkq.co.uk/nq/morefromnetq/carsguarantee.do timing belt is not mentioned,if the belt was due it should have been changed before the sale of the car,if the belt was to fail and it was not due then network q should cover it as at that time it is not a "service item" and rarely does a belt fail first, usualy a roller fails first, the vvt engine has a simpler belt run so the belt does not get so stressed so it will last longer
