    Default Corporal Mark Wright

I'd like to salute Corporal Mark Wright of Edinburgh following the coroner's verdict and comments on his heroism today.

This is heroism in the true sense. Nothing like the sort of activities which seem to qualify for the term these days in footballing and the like.

    RIP Corporal Wright!

Incredible. Died trying to rescue a fallen comrade because we didn't have a winch fitted to a Helicopter.

I agree the term Hero is often abused. Not in this case.

    RIP

But the Government says everything is Ok and we're not short of anything. The complete shortage of helicopters is just an illusion.

The treatment of our armed forces by Nu Labour is a total disgrace.

Hero is a overused word these days but underused where the Forces are concerned.

I saw something that said they called in a Chinnook because the clearance to get in the nearest helicopter, which was an American Black Hawk WITH a winch, was taking too long.
Why can we bail out the banks to the tune of £350 billion but not provide our troops with the right equipment?!

They are all heroes, but are they're lives worth it? Many will say no, including myself, but it's good to know that there is still a lot of support for the boys and girls out there.

Something a lot people probably don't know is that the military has the smallest budget behind education, healthcare, road networks etc. So if our roads are in the state they are you can imagine how difficult it is being in the military, but we adapt and overcome. That's why we have the best in the world, especially the Army(I'm biast of course).

Especially at this time of year it's important to remember all those who have given the greatest sacrifice in the world for the benefit of others, may they all R.I.P. and thank you
