    Default CD Player troubles :(

Hello i fitted a sony head unit in my 2004 vec everything was fine for a couple of weeks and yesterday it just stopped working. Took it out to find the yellow wire had melted. I went to halfords they tested the player was working so they gave me a new iso wire thing. Fitted it back to find not working. I dont know what no the cd player fuse is, i read somewhere it was F34 but that a huge blue 60 amp fuse. Is this the right one. Help needed many thanks

certainly not 34 in the engine bay
it is n° 1 in the interior fuse box, and check 17 and 26 too

no, the passenger side of the dashoard: the panel you see on the side when the passenger door is open... pull hard and it will come off
