    Default Ovarian Cyst

One of my friends has been told today, that she has Ovarian Cyst and needs to have an operation to have it removed...

She is really worried and I need to help her through this, so any advice or information, would really help the both of us....

    Many thanks

    Diana

I know of someone who had ovarian systs, they were quite large, but not large enough to need operating on at the time the hospital said they will keep an eye on them, and sais come back in 6 weeks, she dis and the systs had compleatly disapeared. So it might be the same for your friend. Who knows fingers crossed "eh".

SWMBO has one and its coming out in a months time. They do it with keyhole surgery. We are both a bit nervous but the doc says it has to go, so it will. Best of luck to your friend. The doc said its reasonably common and most of them do go away by themselves.

My wife had hers removed when 6 months pregnant! They had to take the ovary away also. Serious op at the time as they had to move her womb and child to gain access.

It was the hospitals fault as they lost her notes after a scan and nobody realised until she rang up! she was in the same night and emergency op the morning after. Scary time but every thing came good.
