For those blokes thinking of having the snip!!

After years of trying, me and the missus were lucky enough to give birth to twin boys (well, the wife - not me, that would make my eyes water!!) four months ago - and via IVF too on the seconed attempt.

Any-who, a nurse started talking to us about birth control before we left the maternity ward - at which we said not a problem due to fertility snags etc - she said that many couples had become preg again not long after a birth naturally as the body changes a lot post preg etc. The missus then looked at me and said "your turn for discomfort then!"

Long story short - i had the snip last Monday - and to be fair - no problems at all, no pain, no swelling and just a little bruising. I heard loads of nasty stories from the lads at work and other friends so was propper poopping myself. Apparently now they do it slightly different which doesn't cause so many issues - no stitches etc.

So if you're thinking about it - go for it - if only for the sensation of someone tickling under your ribs!!

the missus wants me to get it , i have a massive phobia of hospitals and doctors in general so I told her it'll only happen if she buys me an EVO X so i wont be firing the old tatty water for while yet lol

i'm planning on getting it done after our 4th child is born (due december 26th). I'm only 28 and I dont want anymore sprogs.

I showered & shaved just before I left for the clinic &, in a bit of a hurry, cut myself with the razor & couldn't stop the bleeding - I arrived at the clinic with half a box of tissues stuck to my tackle - there were quite a few giggles

had it done when my daughter megan was 6 month's old.....blimey that's 8 1/2 yr's ago.......

brother inlaw had the snip 12 years ago after the birth of his second, but 8 years ago his wife turned to the other side and left him.

3 years ago he remarried and she wanted kids soon after he thought he could just get it reversed but alas no they couldn't reverse the op too many years had passed by plus its only a very small %age of reversels are succesful.

good new though after lot of visits to hospital and ivf they were sucsessful and she gave birth to a baby girl 3 months ago.

the moral of the story is think very very long and hard b4 u have the snip because in most men its permenant.
