i have noticed that when i gently press the accelerater when stationary, on my 1.8 06plate veccy, the revs dont climb smoothly and im thinking it could be the reason for its erratic pulling away. does any1 have any ideas what could be causing it to do this.??? any commments appreciated.

hi mate i dont know if this would have anything to do with it but have you cleaned out the breather pipes above the throttle body and the buttlerfly.
how many miles has your car done?

Don't bother, it's under warranty still, get it booked in, investigated and resolved.

Could the erratic pulling away be down to the clutch? Doe's it tend to judder as you pull away? I know Astra's of this age had problems with the clutch and many were replaced under warranty.
