    Default ESP and Traction control

Can any one tell me how I would fine out if my car has ESP? I'm pretty sure it has traction control, as when I boot it, it lets me spin for a sec then kills the power , Tried getting a traction control button but it only lights up and does not switch the TC off!

    I'm driving a 55 Plate Vectra SRI 1.9 Cdti (150 facelift)

    Any advice would be good

when you turn your ignition on look on the dash (between the speedo & rev counter)there should be a car with wavy lines under it

if you have traction control you will have ESP on the facelift

I am told that if you look on the side of the ABS module there is a paper label, in amongst the other information it will have ESP writen on it. Unless it can be fitted as an option on the 1.9 I don,t think you will have it on yours. It was fitted as standard on the V6,s. Though.

Wow thanks for the quick reply! Will look on the ABS module, When i turn the ignition on that light does indeed come on, so i defiantly have TC, but ESP is only a possibility.

In regards to the TC button is there any way i can get it to turn of the TC??

if you have the button, you can just press it to turn it off...If you have no button, pop the blank out and see if the blue plug is there...if it is, and you chose to try and fit a switch you have a 50/50 chance of getting it to work...

Why would you want them to turn it off?
