    Default new filter

    Have now done away with my twin cone setup and whacked this bugga in



    Grp A RS500 ITG cone...bit of a squeeze (again) and need to make some custom hoses/elbow.

    Yeah..I suffered that with the last set up..I'll sort it when I sort the elbow and maf to tb hose..had to shorten it to get it in lol...Just took it out on a run..OMFG!!!..tried panel filter/modded box...tried one and two small cones..damn!..this one..it's like someone has emptied a bucket of torque under the bonnet!..getting new zorst tomorrow so should be smiles all round

    There really was that much difference???

    Now you got me thinking . But how do you stop the cone filter sucking in hot air from the engine bay? Had one on a Rover before and was OK most of the time but engine revs soared to 2500rpm on tickover when driving in heavy stop/start traffic.

    i was thinking about panel filter but not sure what difference is there between the two i take it you had a k n filter

    ok..lil confusion here...(please bear with me...had a drink now lol)..the O M F G! filter i'm running now is a huge foam cone type(cosworth grp A rated for 500bhp).what i'm sorta saying is that it beats everything else i've run induction wise. The first setup was a jetex panel filter in modded air box..2nd was one (cheapy) cone filter..3rd was two (cheapy) cone filters....as for sucking hot air...need to add pipes/hoses that will draw cold air into filter side of engine bay(if using cone)..think someone else needs to take this one now..too many beers
