    Default HiD Troubles...

I was wondering if anyone had seen this before, or could help.

I fitted my HiDs yesterday (that are supposed to be 100% compatible with the Vectra C, and another member on here has them and work fine) and although they work, I get the bulb warning lights the first time I turn them on, then after that if the lights are left on I don't get any bulb failures, but if I turn the lights off I get the bulb warning light coming on all all the time until I turn the HiDs back on where the bulb warning light disappears - very strange.

I don't understand why the bulb warning light only comes on when the HiDs are tuned off, after they have been on - if I don't turn them on at all its fine, or if they are left on its fine.

Surely if there was a problem the warning light would be on all the time, regardless of whether they are on or not.

    Does anyone have any ideas..?

    Cheers in advance,
    Dan

From what I can see it seems OK, the only thing I noticed was where the HiD kit connects to the OE plug with spade connectors, these weren't the tightest, but seemed OK - I'll have another look today.

I got the check bulb once every few weeks with my HIDs in the Astra. For some reason it stopped doing it after about a month, though.

Quick update, I've just been out in the car, and the warning lights only appear when the HiDs are off - the warning lights come on every 10 seconds or so. When the HiDs are on - no errors at all.

    Any thoughts..?

I had a similar thing with mine(fussy vectra or faulty kit?),in the end i brought a cheaper kit and used a relay setup to cancel the warnings and no problems since.
