Any problems which Lexmaul grill???

I'm looking to change my grill to the Lexmaul one and I notice the standard one has a restriction panel behind it. I know the air intake is on top behind the grill and I am concerned about exposing it...

Has anyone had any problems with water getting in the air intake with this panel removed? Or does the lexmaul grill have also these restrictions in place???

Alternatively I may just colour code the V-grill like the VXR. Any opinions?

If it's the facelift version then you will have to get the dremel out and cut away most of the grille carrier to get it to fit. Took me ages cutting away to get it to line up perfectly. You can't remove it completely as it is there to suppurt the grille & bumper
