As i few of you know i recently bought a alpine DVD hu off eBay, it came Wednesday.

Got booked in at Audio Island to have it fitted today at 2pm. So all is going well all seats out (looked like a shell) my car in pieces wired it all in. turned on. looks fantastic!!!! WOW i thought looks ace, Hang on no sound.

IT SEEMS LIKE THE BRAIN IS FUBARED ON IT SO HE SPEAKS TO ALPINE £180 PLUS VAT TO FIX THE BRAIN.... MMMMM

So i email the seller saying basically i want a full refund plus 60quid to have it removed or 211.50 for repair...

firstly he says lets go half's. so basically i could be lying to him and already he has offered me over 100. Kinda gets me thinking he knew this.

So i have told him no chance lance either full refund or full repair bill..

feel for you mate hopefully you get it sorted out, i have been there before with ebay , i actually called the guy and threatened to called the feds but then i did buy goods which were fake without me knowing it, got it sorted but didnt think ebay were very helpful nor the trade and standards, they said that if bought overseas theres noth we can do

Would I suggest such a thing? but he knew it was dead when he sold it. Well imo anyway. You may have to settle for half the repair price, but you could say it was not as described and go for a refund through paypal.

With him being too quick to offer to go halves he obviously knew it had a problem Matt.
I'd wait to see what his reply is then make the decision about claiming back a refund from Paypal as it is not fit for the purpose
