    Question Any Glasgow/Central Tuning specialists?

    Hi Guys,

I just got my 04 Reg Vectra SRi CDTi 150 and want to get it mapped/chipped, but can anyone recomend a good specialist in the Glasgow/Central area who won't take the pi**?

    Cheers

    Cheers Dobbo,

Just trying to get as many options as possible and probably go along to them and sound them out before taking the leap down the slippery, slippery slope that is modification.

or get the crd box from dtuk - 5 min plug in job and can be had for around 300 quid. I've got one in my Astra and ffs what an upgrade - and I get more mpg out it as well!!! Last rr day I went to an Astra with one fitted made 208hp at the engine

    Question

Sh*t guys, you're getting me all confused now???

I was sooo close to booking my car for a remap by a TorqueTronic agent who comes to your house/place of work to do it.

What's it like for sooty exhaust with the CRD unit from dtuk? Does this schedule the boost/air/fuel throughout the rev range or does it just alter fuel/air at a standard rate like the cheapo boxes from ebay etc? That's about the only problem I have with the crd is that it could just have the same very simple componentry as the cheaper ones but at a premium price point?

In simple terms it just fools the ECU into thinking it needs more fuel so it over fuels the engine. IMO get the remap as it'll drive a lot better by increasing all the parameters across the rev range and be a safer option as everything works in unison
