Default Result, from my local garage!

Girlfriend had drivers side wing mirror wiped out the other week by a county council mini-bus. Anyway dealer wanted just over £200 to replce it, so went to local garage and he's done it with genuine GM parts from the same dealers for £120 (£86 parts and £20 labour + VAT) took him less than half an hour to fit it

How can this be? Dealers are obviously ripping people off

If only, the woman driver (enough said) who hit my girlfriend was really friendly at the time (surprise, surprise) and when she got back to her office she got her boss involved and because there was no damage to mini-bus and no witnesses they didn't want to know.

Wish I was with her at the time but hay ho, she has only been driving just over a year and its her first accident and it wasn't her fault!

Think she will be writing to them with invoice to ask for contribution! If I was to go through our insurance we would loose 2 years no claims discount.

    Bleeping council
