Private Plate

Just need some opinions as to why my private number plate isn't selling? For those of you that don't know it, it is my signature at the bottom. I have emailed several Vauxhall dealerships with no interest, i've also had it on ebay a couple of times to no avail. I was reading on another Vauxhall forum that so far 208 Vectra vxr's have been ordered which is why i'm puzzled at no interest.

It's not a bad plate, but people will generally go for something with one digit, such as V7 VXR, or something with a round number, like V20 VXR.

How much are you asking for it, out of interest? If it's a good price then surely someone would snap it up?

I'd be happy with a minimum of £450. All fees paid, just £25 transfer fee to pay by new owner.

I know, that's what I paid early last year!

VXR Plates are available from £250 complete with transfer...maybe that's why it isn't selling to well.

Think you guys may be missing the point though, the single digits would not be so interesting as 28 as the car is a 2.8 ??

I wouldn`t panic yet, wait till the letter changes and their cars look older then you might get a bite ....

Glad you realised that Bainie, well done. I thought the plate was an ideal match for the Vectra VXR.
