    Default tyres

    any tyres that u recommend 4 my vectra i need 2 new ones 4 the front. they are goodyear nct 215/50/17s and have done 20,000 which i think is reasonable. any other suggestions and prices would be welcome

    Yeh, don't buy Falkens!! There one i can't recommend.

    Really? I ran Falkens on my previous car and they turned out to be really good - they're actually made by one of the big names in tyres (can't remember which though)...

    How come you didn't get on well with them?

    They only like straight lines and my mpg has really dropped since fitting them.

    That's one thing I had to agree with, the tread pattern much preferred to take the car in a straight line!

    In answer to the original question, you can't go wrong with Dunlops. Not the cheapest on the market, they'll cost about £120 each corner, but they're good. We fit them to our used BMWs, BMW don't approve many types of tyre but they like Dunlops.

    i got brand new Bridgestone Potenza 225/45/17's for £55 each delivered from ebay a few months back ( £220 for the 4 )

    and they still look like new after 6k miles,
    and kwikfit bunged em on my rims for a fiver a corner, thats a standard price in the UK

    20,000 out of the front tyres that's good............MICHELIN all the way........I had BFG until last week now back to Michelins

    My front Bridgestones lasted just over 23,000 miles. The guy at my tyre place was quite impressed and thought I drove like a dandy.

    I went for Bridgestones again

    i got avon zz3's in a 225/45/17 for £63 each delivered and my local garage fitted them for £7ea
