    Default Paypal help please

    Guys,

    Need some help please.

I bought an item from a user on another forum and paid through paypal and send the money as "other".

Now the person in saying that they have been told they cannot trade on the other forum hence cannot complete the sale.

He has asked me to do a incomplete transaction request, but paypal will not allow this and says contact recipient directly.

So I have done a "money request" in paypal.

I am now seriously doubting this bloke as he has had my money in paypal and says he cant trade anymore, but surely he can still send the item as the money is in paypal?

How can I get my money back?

    Thanks.

On the paypal website the other person should go into "transaction details" and then at the bottom click "issue refund" (as long as it was less than 60 days ago). If he doesn't do that straight away without good reason, then to me it sounds suspicious and I would then go to the resolution centre again on the paypal website.

    Sounds like this to me.

He isnt even answering my calls now.

This is the bloke's link on photobucket in case anyone else has come across him: http://s399.photobucket.com/albums/pp74/Vectragsi2000/

I only paid for it on Tuesday but Paypal will not let me do a resolution centre thing, as it says contact recipient directly.

That sounds like complete cobblers to me! They may have been told that they can't advertise/trade any more on that forum - doesn't mean that he can't complete transactions already under way. You've paid him the money, why can't he simply send you the goods - the forum can't stop him sending goods that he's already been paid for!, only stop him from advertising any more. Sounds very fishy.

It does sound a possible reason!

As for the refund, as blutba said, he only has to perform that process to issue a refund. He'll get back any PayPal fees he was charged and you'll get all your money back - very simple to do and job done.
