    Default Key fob ?

    Morning folks,
Recently had a problem with my spare key fob for the car (2002 LS) and trawled the threads and found good tips to cure. Had the battery replaced and put the key in the ignition and successfully reset. Couple of days later and it's dead again although the led light on the fob still works. Has the fob reached end of life or does anyone know anything else I can try ?
    Thanks in advance.

Have you tried re-syncing the key again?

Maybe dodgy battery??? I assume the L.E.D's will take a lot less power than the remote signal sent from the fob

He mentioned he syncronised it after replacing the battery, but no mention of doing it again after the fob stopped working - hence why I asked.

If the fob has a dry solder joint and the battery has momentarily become disconnected and a re-sync cures the problem, then that's the cause.
