Default 03 2.0 DTI Engine siezed! Whats next for it

So driving home today after going 30 miles to collect and xbox 360 i bought of ebay BAM engine has siezed on me on the M1. I got the RAC man out to drag me home and hes confirmed it. Ive owned this car for a whole 5 weeks and this has happened to me

What are my options from here??

Im looking at trying to sell it, but would people be willing to come get it and pay for it, if so how much would an 03 plate vectra sell for with a knackered engine??

The RAC guy says that i could pick up an engine for roughly £500, but then theres the cost of getting it put in

i just hate this car so much, im getting so much grief from the missus about this likes its my fault the thing is broken.

any advice or experience would be a great help

    thank you

the guy says that it was prolly a lack of oil pressure. I cant really afford to pay a mechanic to give it the once over then tell me its knackered, i would rather just get rid.

I think its cursed towards me

I would love to chuck another engine in there, but i can see that costing me the best part of a grand if not more!!

thats a goood questionn mate what would someone pay??

Im just glad i aint got work tomorrow or i would be shafted, im going to have to buy a cheap runabout untill i know what action to take with this vectra, ive only just taxed it for 6 months so at least im in no mad panic to sort it out.

Im off to the auto trader looking for a cheap runabout to get me to and from work.

how much has it cost you ?
get another lump in it then sell ,
if you sell as it is , it aint gonna get much ,
so replace engine then punt it !
only way to reclaim any dough spent on it

There are plenty on ebay right now. Even older ones would be OK for the block and head, all the ancilliaries could be stripped from your existing engine, thus keeping the electronics from your existing car.

A car without an engine is almost worthless.

I guess it would depend on if you have facilities, knowhow and the tools to DIY, if not, if may be expensive on labour.
