I am having some work done to repair my dials (damaged ribbon cable) and have bought a new speedo unit to basically swap the cable off of.
My car is an 04 auto which has a 2nd lcd display built into the rev counter, would a unit off a later model 07 work on my car if it was tech 2'd? I know it wouldnt have the bit telling me if i was in auto or manual and what gear but i prefer the way the later models light up.

Or maybe we could just modify the dial faces off the new onto the old?

Got it today matt, forgot it was yourself, been looking at that many things. will pop some good feedback later. Cheers for the quick service btw, i was away fri to monday hence the slight delay in paying.

I am trying to decide whether to get the bits i need off it or if it will work when tech 2'd if i just fit the unit. Need to see the guy who is doing smd's for me.
