Is it worth paying £500 plus for a 29 bhp increase?

I assume you're referring to the BSR stage 1? - the price and bhp increase tally up with that.
In a word - yes! Have a search for BSR and you'll see a lot of happy folks - me included.
It's not just the bhp increase BTW, there's a healthy increase in torque and the mid-range performance is transformed.
Its more than just 29bhp, it makes the car a lot more driveable too, no flat spots etc
Cheers mate, it was from BSR i got quoted.
Dunno what the missus wil say though, i am 47 but 25 at heart.
Just tell her that it will lower the MPG as you won't have to push it so hard.....
47 is nothing..... I have to crowbar my 63 year old dad out of my 2.8T..
Yep age is no concern lol my old man (50) has bought one of these in exactly the same trim and colour as this one, but with the 2.5 T5 engine. Drives it like he stole it lol.

Ah, don't feel so bad now
About to hit the big 40. The wife thinks I'm having "age issues" Just because I want to do some tasteful mods on my car.
Just got rid of a Pug 406 that the wife wanted when she passed her test. It was horrible. I really hated driving it and just let the wife drive everywhere. Now she's complaining that I hide the keys from her!!
PS. (as to the original post)
What options do I have as a 3.2 owner, as far as eg. BSR, or ECU upgrades?
Had a quick search but still a little confused.
Thanks
very few at the moment as far as remaps are concerned, thou i know that a few are being developed..... BSR don't do one for the 3.2..
Well Iam 46 , had the BSR remap for 3 months now. Wicked or what. Transforms the car. Just sit in 4th gear at about 2.2 k revs, gently squeeze the throttle down and woosh feel the G's (well not quite, but its good). At the age of 25 I was driving a Rover SD1 V8 and that had less grunt.
