Default Mobile Phone Contract - PUK etc...

    Hi,

I have had an O2 monthly contract from onephonestopshop.com with overall cashback of £400 over the year ... it has been great and I have received all the cashback cheques at the correct time.

My 12 months is up on 10 November 2008 and I want to get a new deal with e2save.com on T-mobile but take my current number with me.

I will have to notify O2 that I will be cancelling on my 12 month anniversary ... I will need to let them know on 10 October ... Do I request a PUK code at this time (10 Oct) , if I want my new T-Mobile contract to be effective from about 10 November with my current O2 number?

Thanks ... hope my message makes sense

    Default

PAC codes usually last 30 days I believe (at least mine from Orange did when I moved to O2), if they are not used your existing contract continues.

I think it might be best to wait until the 10th November before requesting the PAC code (your existing contract will just continue until the PAC code is used) so as not to incur any cancellation fees etc.

    Default

Yep - PAC codes expire after 30 days IIRC

(PUK codes are for when your PIN is incorrectly entered 3 times)
