Wiper Blades.......

I ahve a 2006 Signum, and in Feb this year I added on some Retro Fit Vx Flat Blade Wipers.
They were great until about a month or so ago when they started leaving fine smear lines across the glass on the drivers side.
I have tried cleaning them with undiluted screen wash but there is no change.
Any ideas how to salvage them? Or is it back t teh old style wiper blades?

wipe them with Vinegar. My flat blades have been fitted since feb and are fine considering I do 30k a year

If you would like to stick with flatblades I would recommend Bosch AeroTwins. About £20 - £25 delivered off fleabay. I've just fitted my second set and the first set lasted way over a year.
Best quality out there in my opinion.

Flatblades are crap. Had the retrofits on my previous Astra, lasted about 2 months. Factory fits in my current Astra are useless, about 6 months did them.

I'm used to getting 3 years at least out of a set of normal Bosch wipers.

I used to Have Bosch Wipers before the flatblades. Where I live is off a main road used by wagons and builders vehicles, so the dust and grime tears the blades to pieces. The flatblades seem to have lasted longer then ordinary wipers, but not as long as Vx claim.

Last set of Bosch normal wipers I got lasted over 100k - were on my car for about 30k, then when I was trading it in I swapped them onto my housemate's car, he got another 70k out of them. They were still on his car when he scrapped it, and they were still quite usable.
