    Default A puzzling Question....Veccy 2.2

Hello folks.....just wondering if the bonnet of vectra 2.2 53 reg can be opened from the outside.
found my bonnet not properly shut this evening, after a family visit. checked everything in the engine bay and appears intact. iI only opened the hood yesterday to check the oil and i shut it afterwards.
could it be thieves or just a mechanical fault. any ideas much appreciated. thanks

More than likely that when you closed it after checking the oil, you haven't fully engaged the second (final) stage of the locking catch (what holds it shut) and it's popped out of the catch.

I have a terrible habit of catching my feet on the catch and popping the bonnet accidentally. Maybe you did it too and didn't realise it at the time.
