Playing with the ppci noticed in the menu that the ppc is also a code reader.Has anyone used this function?? because theres nowt in the book.

Does it work with ours, I remember reading something about a diagnostic ability, but wasn't sure if it worked on VX's.

I asked BSR about this and they said it's not going to happen, infact at first the guy at BSR support said he knew nothing about it and denied all knowledge of the PPC having a fault code reader ability until i told him it's on my PPC and i'm actually looking at it now! it was then that they offered me a few BSR t-shirts and baseball caps which i have since given away to members on here..

Well it did not tell me the code but it just got rid of the immisions light from the dash?????

I remember reading on the BSR site a while back that the PPC Code reading/clearing facility was developed for Volvo's they had remapped. Tried it on mine and nothing happened. I assume that Volvo use a different system than the Trionic one used on Saab (and presumably other GM makes inc. VX). Noticed that my speed limiter had gone up to 270 kph......not that I go anywhere near that sort of speed.
