What colour was padington?

guys a bit of a silly poll but what colour was the original padinton bear.its driving me nuts. the reason i need to know is its for a present

the problem is the colour of the hat/coat and wether he had boots or not, as his actuall colour is always brown

As Glynn's posts shows - it was blue coat and black hat, no boots. There was an episode, or more then one, where he had red wellies on but that wasn't his 'day to day' attire.
