    Default Just bought

    The missus a present.
(Deep breath), a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 Ltd. I know, I know. 4x4's school run, the environment etc, etc.
Sod all that, we've just had a son, we have a large pram (Graco Tour Deluxe for all the parents out there!!) and Beth can't fit it in the 25 Gti (not a word you lot, I know what you're thinking).
Anyone got any experience of them? Not expecting good MPG (4.0 petrol), but I'm determined to try the damned thing off road.

Welcome to the most hated club by the lefties "THE 4X4 CLUB" caterman is right i also have a grand cherokee 4.0lt LTD and a normal cherokee 4.0lt LTD SE but its the small one that is gassed the bad news is the big one does on average about 14/16 MPG but on a run it will creap up to about 22 MPG if your careful
The gassed one is great on fuel it works out pound for pound at about 48 MPG on gas but as its not on the road at the moment due to me trying to sell it i have to bite the bullet and use the big one ...........Any way welcome to the VECTRA-C/JEEP.COM CLUB.

    Back in a V6 !!!!!!!!!!!! And lovin it !!!

Do you know how much a gas conversion costs for one of these things Drinky?
Mine has done 100k, with an almost full Jeep S/H. It's black with black leather, has had the rear diff recently replaced and is pretty good condition.
Paid £3k for it so I think I done OK as Parkers give a guide of £4300 in good nick.

Sounds like you got a bit of a bargain there m8 .
As far as the gas conversion goes it is really a case of you get what you pay for you can get it done for as little as £750 but in my experience these are not so good the main thing you want is a multi point gas conversion as these give total piece of mind . The other thing to insist on is that you get a certificate to say its been fitted in accordance with the relative laws and so forth you will also need it for your insurance,Unfortunately these systems can cost upto £2000. But you will always get a small percentage of it back come resale time and of course the lower running costs will also help to pay for it HTH P.S we will have to both put some piccys up as its the law you know !!!!!!!!!!!

Just spent nearly three weeks driving nearly 2500 miles in a brand new 3.7 Grand Cherokee - been very impressed - a bit soft on the suspension but great car! (running in nicely now!) will miss it when we give it back on thursday! - only costs £25 for a full tank as well!....... if only it was that cheap at home!
