Flywheel Question

HOW WOULD I KNOW IF THE FLYWHEEL NEEDS REPLACING? I KNOW THE CLUTCH NEEDS REPLACING, AS THE CAR DOESN'T PICK UP AS BEFORE AND THE PEDAL TRAVEL IS AT THE TOP. PLEASE HELP

You'd get quite a nasty banging noise from the gearbox/clutch area if the flywheel was going.

Mind you they will soon tell you when you have a new clutch fitted.

how loud would this be? as my engine sounds bit louder than before or it may need a service as its due.

how much does flywheel cost?

Flywheel is around £400 just for the part. As for noise, quite a noticeable banging noise is what I've heard it described as. Maybe somebody who's actually had a flywheel issue will be able to elaborate.

Thats when you will get the loud rattle. Not a nice sound!

i got quoted 1500 by vaux for dmf and clutch fitted but can get it cheaper by a m8 who works for vaux ..i also know where there is a 2nd dmf if u want it don tknow price but cant get 1 for u its off a 1,9cdti 150
