    Engine : 2.3t

    Year : 2006

    Default 3.2 v 1.8

bloke at work got his beloved vec c 1.8 life about a month ago now.

he asked how much i spend on fuel per week

i told him between £46 to £52 depending how i drive and where i go but i do roughly 280 miles per week.

he spends between £40 to £44 per week and only does 300 miles per week (all A & B roads).

    i don't think he's too happy

he's now trying to convince the missus to getting 3.2 to 2.0t.

Surely the issue is your relative mpg? If your mate is doing all his miles around town, he's not going to get a good return whatever he drives...

Veccy1.8 SXi with an aftermarket LPG conversion...

£34 of LPG gives me 430 - 460 miles, even when driven hard...
