    dont touch it


    he cant remap the ecu that way i bet he's useing resistors and if it all goes wrong you havnt got a leg to stand-on as nobody will repair your ecu after it been played with like that

    never send your ecu to anybody as if it goes missing who is paying for the new one

    if you are looking at this dont

    but a caterman box for around £65 it's a lot safer for you in the long run

    It can be remapped like that. They would have to open the ecu and remove the data chip, they could then put it into a reader and have full access to any model (EDC16C9 or EDC16C39). Not sure I would want my ECU opened and resealed though, if moisture gets in it will die a horrible death. It's a method of remapping that has been used for along time because cars didn't used to be remappable through an OBD.
