Default reverse sensors, light out, and blipping

    Hey there,

ive just fitted some reversing sensors from ebay, they work fine, but i have the old problem of the reverse light warning on dash, and the sensors are blipping.

I connected both the live and earth to the reverse light wiring directly next to the plug for the rear lights.

Ive searched on here, and read all the stuff on the problem, and realise the answer could be a by-pass relay.

My queston is what are the options ? and is there another way of wring it up without the relay ? Does a normall relay not do the trick ?
If i have no choice, wheres the best place for a relay ?

Thanks in advance for any help..

I've not had problems with mine, I connected the live to the reverse light wire but wired the earth directly to the car body and not via the wiring loom - might be worth moving your earth wire.

Sods law mate... lol..at least you know the bulb sense circuit is working...

Re. the occasional beeping, does it do this when its not raining.?

I know a few of us have experience the odd beep in heavy rain, I've had it faintly beep a couple of times in very heavy rain, but touch would its been working fine for a few weeks now even in heavy rain.
It stated in the fitting instructions to position the buzzer as far away as possible from the control unit, maybe it causes some interference to the unit... dont know, but to be on safe side I positioned the buzzer on the opposite side.

I only fitted it last Friday, i know the bulb was ok then, and was still showing up "bulb blown"

so still needed to re-do the earth wire..

It was a cisco make form eBay £13,99 jobbie.
Other than the bulb problem, and blips (now solved) it works great.
The buzzer/beeper is a wireless led unit, which is going to be tucked away somewhere out of site as its a bit tacky, and i cant think of anywhere suitable to put it....

Ive yet to see what its like in the rain though..
