    Default Parking Sensor woes

Car came with parking sensors which have been working fine up till last week. When you put the car in reverse they beep once, like all of them do. But mine beep once when reverse is engaged, then beep constantly about a second later. I need to put it out of reverse then back on and they are fine.........

Anyone got any ideas on what it could be? I'm considering chopping the wires lol

i,ve had the same problem, check for dirt around the middle of the sensors in the groove if no dirt is found press in the middle till you feel the sensor inside move alittle, my thought was the sensor works on sound waves and the sensor needs a little movement and sometimes it sticks

I thought it could be dirt, but it happens everytime i select reverse when i first switch on the car........

I'm going to spray them next week so they are colour coded. Hopefully the paint isn't too thick so they won't work

Just 2 or 3 light coats will do it, On my cheapo Cisbo kit from Ebay, I noticed that they do have 4 adjustments inside the unit, 1 for each sensor. I sprayed mine and they work fine even in rain. May be worth unplugging each sensor one at a time in case its just the one sensor thats playing up, in which case you can leave just that one unplugged.
