    Default 2.0T engines

    hi guys,

being a newby to VX, can somebody please inform me of the differences of the 2.0T engines?

ive got a 2007 veccy 2.0T which i believe to be the "NET" engine and think i have read somewhere that at 285BHP the con-rods make a mess!?

i was hoping to get her up to 250BHP - in the future (bit skint with the new house lol) but if the above is true then surely ill be seriously downing the life span of the engine?

    cheers

The internals in the Z20NET are good for up to 300Bhp, Stage 3 runs about 250Bhp and never had any problems with it

And for those of a milder disposition like me, Stage 1 remap without the need for any changes to exhaust or anything gives you a cool 220 bhp, which is as far as I want to go down that road. Can't recommend it highly enough

cool cheers guys, for 250BHP im hoping i can achieve this by the full exhaust system from the manifold (cheaky cat bypass) forced air induction, nick a few bits off the old VXR ie. turbo, injectors, fuel pump, some nice cams and the all important re-map.
or thats what i thought of anyway, think ill be anywhere close?

Non of the bits you mention from the VXR will be usable on the 2.0T.

But as you have found the BSR site, no more needs to be said!!
